Catherine Schmitt is a retired U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant who received her Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School. She holds two bachelor's degrees from the University of Maryland and has more than 20 years of experience in the title insurance business.

David Conforti received his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and is a member of the New York and DC bars. He has been a practicing attorney for more than 18 years, focusing primarily on corporate and real estate matters.

Dedra Roberts is responsible for disbursing escrowed funds (such as the final water and sewer bill) and releases after closing is complete and assisting lenders with post-closing inquiries. If you are due a refund or have questions on a closing that has already settled, please contact Ms. Roberts.

Helen Do runs the office and schedules all of our closings. If you're not sure with whom to speak, Helen will direct your call to the appropriate staff member and gladly answer any general settlement questions.

Jackie Kurz has been a practicing attorney for more than 10 years, focusing primarily on real estate matters. She received her Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University and is a member of the Pennsylvania and DC bars.

Jerrika Roberts is a post-closing processor. In her work she searches for releases in closed files and scans them into the Federal Title workflow system when they are completely released. She also mails back original documents to lenders, buyers and sellers.

Joe Gentile is vice president at Federal Title & Escrow Company. He received his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University and is a member of the Maryland, Montgomery County and Italian-American bar associations. Mr. Gentile has practiced real estate law in the DC metro area since 2000.

Mahrya O'Connor Delaney supervises all accounting and financial reporting for the company. She's responsible for all cash disbursements, bank reconciliations and post-closing functions relative to accounts receivable and payable.

Michelle Mantilla received her B.S. from the University of Maryland at College Park and is a member of the Maryland Land Title Association. She has been abstracting and examining title since 1992 and conducting both residential and commercial settlement transactions since 2000. She is a bilingual (Spanish) settlement agent and processor.

A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, where she served as executive editor of the school's award-winning Daily Titan newspaper, Nikki Smith moved to Washington D.C. in 2006 to take a job as a financial reporter. Since the demise of print, however, Ms. Smith has shifted her focus to the wonderful world of Web. At Federal Title she wears many hats including: copy writer, event planner, media liaison, graphic designer, Web developer and marketing strategist. She is the architect behind federaltitle.com and managing editor of its official blog, the Real Estate Settlement Observer.
Rikki Woodall is responsible for processing all purchase transactions. She coordinates closing details between buyers, sellers, agents and lenders. Contact her for updates, information and questions about your settlement.

Saritta Veronesi has 25+ years of experience in the settlement industry as a title agent, manager of a settlement company, closing officer and processor. At Federal Title she is responsible for title underwriting and binder preparation.

Stephanie Dudley received her Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America in 2005. She has over 7 years of experience in the title industry working in the dual roles of attorney and settlement processor. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and in her free time volunteers her legal expertise with the Archdiocesan Legal Network of Catholic Community Services.

Todd Ewing founded Federal Title & Escrow Company in 1996. He's also a partner with the law firm Tobin, O'Connor & Ewing and co-founder of closingquotes.com, the first online marketplace in the U.S. for real estate closings.
He received his law degree from Drake University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University. Mr. Ewing has practiced real estate law in the DC metro area since 1991 and he's a member of the DC Bar and Maryland & Virginia Land Title Associations.
